Services

What services does the Library offer?


Books and Materials for children and adults to check out and more:

  • large print books
  • videotapes and DVDs
  • music on cassette tapes
  • books-on-tape
  • books-on-cd
  • magazines
  • Children's Programs

Computers

Computers are available for word processing and for Internet use. Internet sessions are one-hour per day for teens and adults and 30 minutes for children. Just sign up at the check-out desk. The Library also provides a "15 minute only" computer for adults who need to check their e-mail or look up quick facts.

Equipment

A copy machine is available. Copies are 15¢ per page. The microfilm reader/printer costs are 25¢ per page. A FAX machine is available. Charges are $2 per page to send to a toll-free number and $2.50 for other numbers. The cost to receive is $1 per page.

Genealogy

The Grady County Genealogical Society works cooperatively with the Library to provide a small collection of research materials.

Instructions

Library staff will show you how to use the Library and to use the on-line catalog of materials.

Interlibrary Loan

If the Library does not own the item you want, it will be borrowed for you at no cost from another library.

Meeting Rooms

The Board Room seats about 8 people and the Library Meeting Room up to 100. The Library Meeting Room has a large screen TV with VCR/DVD, sound system, multi-media projector for PowerPoint® presentations, a laptop computer, and a kitchenette. There is no charge for use by non-profit groups. The staff will take your reservation.

Staff

Library staff are available to help you find the information you need or to answer your questions. You may consult staff in person, by phone, FAX, or e-mail.

Tax Forms

Every year at tax time, the Library receives a supply of U. S. for free distribution through April 15th.
