Picturing America
On Sunday, September 19th, 2:00 p.m. at the Library, Elizabeth James will introduce the Library's "Picturing America" collection of fine art reproductions. Elizabeth Johnson, artist and teach, will speak on the value of experiencing art. Light refreshments will be served.
The collection includes 40 high-quality reproductions of paintings, sculpture, baskets, silver, and other art forms. This collection was presented to the Library by the National Endowment for the Humanities in association with the American Library Association. The purpose is to bring significant works of American art into thousands of communities throughout the country.
